The Baroque era was simply outrageous, revelling in processions, gold, high drama, realism, and blatant displays of wealth. It took classical art and made it bigger, brasher, more vulgar. If you think you only like retro minimalism, this show will open your eyes. It's at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, until 19 July. My review at is here.
