Too Appropriate Metaphors IV
A storm was brewing. (National Geographic documentary describing the approach of the asteroid that destroyed the dinosaurs. A storm wasn’t brewing, an asteroid was approaching!)

ReplyDeletePerhaps "struggle" might have been better in this case, but an uphill battle - as fought by the Normans at Hastings - is a particularly tough one. The enemy has the advantage of height and range, and the attackers must struggle uphill before they can engage them in battle.
